About the MS Craft Show

The Mississippi Craft Show will be held on Saturday, August 24th 2013 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm., and Sunday 25th from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. In the Trademart Building, State Fairgrounds, Jackson Mississippi.

This event is unique for Mississippi as it is the only craft show in the state offering strictly handmade items and permits ONLY Mississippi Artisans and Crafts people to exhibit.  No other local show is truly 100% Mississippi AND 100% handmade.  

The admission fee for both days of the show will be a donation to a Mississippi no-kill non profit animal rescue shelter.

Our Commitment

In a throwaway world of mass production, we believe in the importance of handmade art and craft and that its contribution to the local economy should be acknowledged.  

We believe in fostering the appreciation and understanding of true handmade art and craft by the general public.   The Mississippi Craft Show does this not only by adhering to strict rules designed to respect and preserve the quality of handcrafted items available at the Show, but by providing a setting that allows shoppers to meet the crafts people, talk to them about their work, and view demonstrations of craft techniques.

We offer a quality show with no broken promises when it comes to maintaining a 100% handmade show. Mississippi Handmade means created by the hands of a Mississippi artisan.  

Our website hosts an Exhibitor Directory maintained and actively promoted year-round, continually showcasing our exhibitors and educating the public to the availability, quality, and wide variety of handmade products produced right here in our own state.  We will also be continually highlighting the wealth of talented Mississippi artisans who create these handmade products though this and other media.

The goal of the Mississippi Craft Show, both at the Show, and year-round online, is to promote awareness of Mississippi made craft through marketing, networking, and education efforts.

First Time Exhibitor?We believe that you deserve an opportunity to exhibit. If you do not have a photo of your booth set up at another show, contact us and we will work with you. We do not believe that you should be discounted simply because you have not exhibited previously.  You will not be rejected based on the fact that you are just starting out.  In fact, we encourage you to apply.  We would like to give emerging artists a stage to show their work, you deserve it!  We will provide information, (tips, tricks and suggestions) for first time exhibitors to help you set up your first display and how to get us the photos we need to fairly judge the suitability of your work for this show.

Can't Fill a Booth Alone?

Do you have a buddy who would also like to exhibit? We offer a 'Booth Buddy" booth sharing option.  Single regular booths may be shared by two artists.  Both must complete an application and be approved by the jury.  See the application for for more details on booth sharing.  We're offering this to make it easier for emerging artists who don't feel ready for a full booth on their own.

• Generate public awareness, public support, and productive partnerships;
• Encourage a continued spirit of shared and reciprocal promotion and respect within the craft community.
• Support and promote the ideology of all non-kill animal shelters.
